Member Benefits Members of the Young Professionals Committee enjoy various opportunities through ARC/GNY, some of which are not available to the general public. Such opportunities include: • Formal training as a volunteer • Participation in free safety and preparedness classes • The experience of accompanying a Disaster Action Team to the scene of an emergency • Participation in Chapter invitation-only events Other Exciting Opportunities Available to Committee Members • Engagement with members of ARC/GNY’s Board of Trustees allows Young Professionals to network with philanthropic leaders in our community. This year, three Young Professionals were invited to the Red Cross Ball by a Board of Trustees member. • To further support the mission of the Red Cross, the Committee has made volunteering a membership requirement. Young Professionals Event at Metro 53
