4. How do I register for a class?
You can call our registration line (1-800-514-5103), or send a course registration form (with payment) to: American Red Cross in Greater New York, Red Cross Store, 520 West 49th Street, New York, NY 10019. You may also register in person at one of our area offices. |

5. How far in advance do I have to register?
Registrations can be made until a course fills. If you must have a course completed by a certain date, we recommend registering a few weeks in advance. |

6. Can I reserve a place in class without registering?
No. To hold a place you must register and pay for the course in advance. |

7. Can I go to the chapter and register in person?
Yes, you can. For any office other than Manhattan, we suggest that you call the office before going there to make sure someone is available to take the registration. |

8. Can I pay the day of the class?
No. We must receive payment in advance. |
 |
9. Can I register for a class and send a check in the mail?
No. We will register you once we receive the check. |
 |
10. What happens if I have to withdraw from a class I'm registered for before the class begins? Do I get a refund?
If you drop out of a class without rescheduling, there is no refund. With seven days notice, you can transfer to a different class for a $20 transfer fee. |

11. What happens if I withdraw fewer than 7 days before the class, and I want to transfer?
Transfers aren't permitted fewer than 7 days before a class. |

12. I've heard that your classes are sometimes canceled because there aren't enough people enrolled. Will I get my money back if you cancel the class?
Yes. If we cancel we will give you a full refund, or transfer you to another class at no charge. |

13. How do you issue a refund?
By check or by crediting your credit card, depending on how you originally paid for the course. It takes approximately 45 days for a refund by check to be processed. |

14. I didn't receive a confirmation letter. Can I still go to the class?
Yes, you can still go to the class. To confirm your registration by telephone, please call 1-800-514-5103. |

15. Can I enroll my child in a CPR and First Aid and Safety course?
There is no minimum age for these courses, but every student must be able to pass written and skills tests. The course books have a 5th to 6th grade reading level. Some First Aid videos include graphic material that could be frightening to some children. |

16. I'm pregnant. Can I take a CPR course?
CPR is a physically demanding class. Please consult your physician for advice on this issue. |
