Danny Chan, owner of Danny's Szechuan Garden restaurant in Howard Beach, New York, presents American Red Cross in Greater New York’s Government Relations Director Alex Lutz with a check for more than $2,000 to benefit the Red Cross Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund on November 1, 2005. The money represents portions of business proceeds from two days in October. Chan is no stranger to Red Cross relief efforts. Earlier this year, he stepped up to make a donation to ARC/GNY to aid the victims of the South Asian tsunami.
