If you are a camp health officer or counselor, this course was designed for you!
Learn the skills necessary to respond to emergency situations and discover how practicing a healthy lifestyle can help prevent injury and sudden illness. Youll also be trained to make first aid decisions and provide care for a wide variety of emergencies until professional medical help arrives. You must attend both days to receive certification.
This course fulfills the First Aid requirement for New York State camp counselors. An optional one-hour module on administration of an Epinephrine Auto-Injector for camp counselors will follow the second day of class.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Any individual who wants in-depth first aid training, as well as New York State camp counselors
PREREQUISITES
Valid CPRAdult or CPR/AEDAdult Certificate.
Note: you must bring your current certification to class.
