| Responsibilities: |
Response Teams serve as the chapter's first on-the-scene contact at a disaster. These teams are not first-responders to a disaster but rather they are the first step in the recovery process for those impacted directly by a disaster. Operationally, this position reports to the Response Team Captain/Lead or the Field Operations Supervisor in the field. On larger incidents, Response Team members will assume a functional specialty reporting to that functional supervisor and the Job Director. Training and support will be provided. |

| Qualifications: |
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
• Must be detail oriented
• Must work well under pressure and under adverse conditions
• Willingness and ability to work under direct supervision of Team Leader and with other team members in pursuit of common goals
• Patience and problem solving skills a must
• Ability to promote and maintain productive working relationships with a variety of individuals and from diverse backgrounds
• Valid New York State driver’s license preferred
• Fluency in languages other in English a plus |
