| Responsibilities: |
The American Red Cross in Greater New York relies on volunteers to provide lifesaving services and training for over 9 million people in the Greater New York area. Each volunteer is interviewed by the Volunteer Resources Department prior to placement at an Area Office or Department. The Volunteer Intake Specialist conducts the interview, refers the prospective volunteer to the appropriate department, and tracks their progress. |

| Qualifications: |
Excellent communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Experience with conducting interviews. Human Resources experience a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Experience with databases
Working knowledge of the Internet
Ability to follow established protocols and procedures |

| Time Commitment: |
One (for Manhattan) or Two (for Rockland and Orange) 5 – 8 hour shift a week during normal business hours, possibility for evening and weekend hours |
