| Responsibilities: |
PRO Teams are interdisciplinary teams on-call to augment the regular response teams when a disaster affects more than 25 families. PRO Teams train together to provide field leadership in the areas of mass care, logistics, volunteer coordination and psychological first aid. PRO Teams work with responders on-site to open reception centers, initiate emergency shelters, bring additional emergency supplies, and provide comfort to those affected by the disaster. |

| Qualifications: |
All experience levels of disaster relief work welcome
Must work well under pressure and in adverse conditions
Willingness and ability to work under direct supervision and with other team members
Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
Ability to lift 20 pounds repeatedly
Fluency in languages other than English a plus
Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions and in smoky/damp buildings
Ability to walk up stairs and stand or sit for extended periods of time |

| Training: |
Volunteer Orientation (2 hours)
Fulfilling Our Mission (3 hours)
Mass Care (3 hours)
During the first 6 months, volunteers will need to take:
Shelter Operations (3 hours)
Logistics (3 hours)
Psychological First Aid (3 hours) |

| Other: |
Team Meetings - Required monthly team meetings (2 hours) will be scheduled during each team’s time on-call for hands-on learning and practice.
Commitment - By joining a PRO Team, team members commit to meeting with and being on call with their team for a minimum of 6 months. Occasional conflicts to one’s on-call time can be managed by advance planning with one’s team, but these conflicts should be minimized. |

| Time Commitment: |
Teams are on-call from their homes for one week each month either on a daytime (7am-7pm) or after-hours (7pm-7am) team. |
