Bilingual Community Outreach Leader
Department: Safety & Preparedness
Location: 520 West 49th Street
New York, NY 10019
Responsibilities: Community Outreach Leaders deliver non-certification presentations to community organizations and agencies to teach people how to prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.
Qualifications: Public speaking and communication skills
Fluency in both English and another language (Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Russian, Korean, Haitian Creole, French, Arabic)
Assists with special projects and other areas whenever necessary

Punctuality
Training: Volunteer Orientation (2 hours)
Community Outreach Leader Training (3 hours)
Continued mentoring as necessary (minimum of 3 hours)
Time Commitment: A minimum of one event (4 hours) a month
