| Responsibilities: |
The American Red Cross in Greater New York is in the midst of a strategic initiative to recruit and prepare 10,000 volunteers for a large scale disaster. To reach our goal, we are launching a volunteer recruitment effort throughout our service area. Street Team Members will distribute information in high traffic areas of the community as well as street fairs and other volunteer recruitment events. |

| Qualifications: |
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Must be energetic, friendly, and self-motivated
Ability to work under direct supervision and with other team members
Willingness to travel throughout the five boroughs |

| Training: |
Volunteer Orientation (2 hours)
Additional training as deemed necessary will be provided by the Volunteer Resources Department |
|
| Time Commitment: |
Two events (3-4 hours) per month |
