| Responsibilities: |
The Response Center Call Agent is the primary contact for clients throughout the country looking for information or assistance for the American Red Cross. The Call Center will predominantly be utilized in the event of larger scale disasters such as hurricanes, floods, and fires.
Provide accurate and timely information to clients regarding locations of shelters, feeding sites, service center sites, bulk distribution sites, and FEMA recovery centers
Utilize the Response Center application and tools to open cases and provide necessary information
Connect callers to Red Cross mental health counselors who are always a part of the Response Center Team
Navigate On-Line Resource Book to retrieve and provide accurate information |

| Qualifications: |
A thorough understanding of ARC services and types of assistance
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Knowledge of computer supported programs such as Word, Outlook, database entry and navigating the web
Ability to hear well while using telephone headsets
Ability and skills to do typed data entry while interviewing callers
Ability to conduct online research while on the phone
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills |

| Salary: |
Variable, 7:30am 1:00pm, 12:30pm 6:00pm, or 5:30pm 8:30pm when center is activated. Agents who are available weekdays are especially needed. |
