| Responsibilities: |
Shelter workers are responsible for various activities such as, facilities administration, dormitory management, fixed feeding, bulk distribution, logistics, communications, recruitment and staffing, and reception/registration. Shelter workers regularly interface with clients, support the movement and inventory of bulk items, assist with food preparation and servicing in the kitchen, help with clean up and regular maintenance of facility, or support the registration desk by checking clients in and out of the shelter, etc. |

| Qualifications: |
Excellent interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) as well as listening skills
Possess sensitivity and concern for others.
Ability to work in hardship conditions.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment and handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
Ability to assess client needs and provide services equitably and consistently.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time.
May be required to lift and move large supplies.
Bi-lingual applicants highly desirable. |
