Blood Services Committee Member
Department: Community Development
Location: Orange, Rockland, Putnam & Sullivan Counties and West Point
Responsibilities: The Blood Services Committee Members attend regular meetings of the Blood Services Committee to help oversee activities and services of the area office Blood Services Program including volunteer support, tele-recruiting, recognition, etc. Committee Members also assist the chair and staff in monitoring and assessing activities and services of the Blood Services Program. Other responsibilities include: developing and implementing annual goals and objectives to increase blood donors, local sponsors, and program volunteers, and visiting local blood drives to monitor volunteer support and donor participation.
Qualifications: Working knowledge of both ARC/GNY and relevant American Red Cross blood services region
Knowledge of the community
Organizational skills
Training: Volunteer Orientation (2 hours)
Orientation to Blood Services Program (2 hours)
Time Commitment: 4 hours per month.
