A dozen American Red Cross in Greater New York employees and volunteers provided valuable safety and preparedness information in both English and Spanish to hundreds of people who attended the Puerto Rican Festival and Third Avenue in Manhattan on Saturday, June 10.

The material, ranging from basic safety tips to advice on responding to a Hurricane, will help individuals and families develop the disaster plans and disaster supply kits they need in the event of an emergency. Elizabeth Serrano, Supervisor in the Emergency Communications Center, is shown above providing preparedness information to a Festival attendee.

Online guides to safety and preparedness and available on the Chapter website.
