Chapter Responds to Three Fires in 24 Hours in Orange/Sullivan
June 13, 2007

ARC/GNY - Orange/Sullivan responded to three fires in Orange and Sullivan counties within a 24-hour period during June 11 and 12.

Responding to a fire at 27 North Street in Monticello (Sullivan) on June 11, the Red Cross provided temporary housing for 11 households (12 adults) and assistance for food for 14 adults who resided at the apartment building.

Responding to a fire at 748 Lock Sheldrake-Hurleyville Road in Lock Sheldrake (Sullivan) on June 11, the Red Cross provided temporary housing along with assistance for food and clothing for one household of one adult and two children.

Responding to a fire at 944 Route 209 in Cuddebackville (Orange) on June 12, the Red Cross provided temporary housing along with assistance for food and clothing for one household of three adults.

Red Cross responders included Roger Burch, Mary Cohen, Deborah Pearson, Jane Pearson and Irving Rundle.
