Emergency Prep Info Provided at Queens Family Day

The Chapter's Queens Area Office provided emergency preparedness and hurricane safety information to more than 150 people who attended the annual Family Day celebration at Wayanda Park on Saturday, August 11. The park is located in Saint Albans.

The event was organized by New York City Council Member Leroy Comrie, who represents District 27 -- St. Albans, Hollis, Cambria Heights, Jamaica, Baisley Park, Addisleigh Park, and parts of Queens Village, Rosedale and Springfield Gardens.

Council Member Comrie appears in the photo with Yesha Naik, coordinator of preparedness training for the Queens Area Office.
