Turkey Drive in the Bronx
November 19, 2007

Turkey Drive in the Bronx

On Monday, November 19, ARC/GNY youth group members from The Bronx Area Office prepared and distributed 221 Thanksgiving turkey baskets to needy families in the borough.  Students from Bronx High School of Science, Lehman High School, CUNY Preparatory and Cathedral High School donated their time before Thanksgiving to deliver the holiday spirit to their neighbors. Canned goods also were collected at various high schools and distributed to the families.

The program was made possible through donations from Waste Management, New York Fertilizer Company and Chatam Management.
